Definitions


BAND: the British Association of NHS Dentists and or their authorised agent.
CONTRIBUTER: a person who submits or posts material for inclusion on the website
MATERIAL: any text or image or data or anything else which appears or is intended to appear on the website
USER: a person who uses the website to view or submit any material.
WEBSITE: the site http://www.band.uk.net or any site or sites that may be used by BAND at any time including all WebPages and material hosted by the site or sites
  1. Terms and conditions may be varied or amended at any time at the absolute discretion of the British Association of NHS Dentists or their agent and shall apply at the time of viewing the website and for the time being..
  2. Users and contributors shall review the Terms and Conditions on each viewing of  the website, before doing anything else at the website and shall only continue at the website if they agree the Terms and Conditions.
  3. If any term or condition is found to be deficient all other Terms and Conditions shall apply.
  4. The user shall be honest and truthful in all matters that relate to the website
  5. The contributor shall be a dental patient or acting for a dental patient. but may not be a legal or professional or paid representative
  6. None of the following  may submit material to the website without the specific written permission of BAND
        dentists or former dentist
        member or former member of a dental team
        person in any relationship with a dentist or member of the dental team except that of dentist and dental patient
        person acting in any legal or paid or professional capacity on behalf of the above
  7. The contributor shall not act vexatious.
  8. Material posted to the website may at the absolute discretion of BAND be edited or removed,  without further comment or notice.
  9. We reserve the right to identify you in response to a court order or threat of legal action.  Profanity or obscenities or any kind, even disguised with asterisks. 
  10. Terms and conditions shall be binding on the user in perpetuity.
  11. Ownership of copyright of all material submitted or intended to be submitted to the website shall be vested absolutely in BAND
  12. Any suspected violations shall be notified to BAND at the earliest opportunity.

The contributor shall not submit any:

  1. Profanity or obscenities or any kind, even disguised with asterisks.
  2. illegal material or material that could be considered misleading
  3. Personal attacks on other participants.
  4. Material. that could be considered defamatory, obscene, indecent, lewd, pornographic, violent, vexatious, abusive, insulting, threatening or harassing 
  5. Advertising or marketing of any kind, including non-profit organisations.
  6. third party copyright material
  7. Over sized fonts, JavaScript or other script, tables, headings or other advanced HTML commands. 

 English Law shall apply.
